Taking the Gospel of Ogun State Health Insurance Scheme to the grassroots

OGSHIA was at the monthly meeting of Ilupeju Oke-Odo Community Development Committee (CDC) at Adeun, Abeokuta North LGA of Ogun State.

The Director of Operations, Dr Sarat Adebayo who led the team spoke about the importance of health insurance to an individual, family, local community and society at large. She emphasized the need for Community Development Associations (CDAs) to key into the program and most importantly be the government’s voice at the community level. Getting community members on board will go a long way in catering for their unforeseen health needs, particularly the indigents.

Responding to the admonitions, members of the committee highlighted expressed their gratitude to OGSHIA for choosing to come to the grassroots and pledged their support and willingness to help introduce the informal sector health insurance scheme to their community members.
