Today, 17th September 2026, the Ogun State Health Insurance Agency (OGSHIA) inaugurated the State Informal Sector Health Insurance Demand Generation Working Group, bringing together key stakeholders committed to expanding health insurance awareness, participation and enrolment across the informal sector.The inauguration brought together representatives of government institutions, the Nigeria Solidarity Support Fund (NSSF) led by Dr Adedayo Aderibigbe, community and market leadership, labour unions, professional and business associations, civil society organisations, religious bodies, the media and other strategic partners.The Executive Secretary of OGSHIA, Dr Afolabi Dosunmu, alongside his team, welcomed the collaboration and emphasised the importance of a coordinated, community-driven approach to reaching more residents, particularly those within the informal sector.The Working Group will serve as a platform for stakeholders to collectively develop and implement practical demand-generation initiatives that will increase awareness, build trust and drive enrolment in the Ogun State Health Insurance Scheme.Together, we are building stronger partnerships, expanding access and advancing Universal Health Coverage for a healthier Ogun State.#OgunState #healthinsurance
